Daily habit

Quick reflection

Short prompts and streaks make returning feel manageable.

Why I made it

Many journaling apps ask too much before a habit has formed. I made Yeşer around a smaller promise: open the app, answer a simple prompt, and leave with a record worth returning to.

What I built

  1. 01

Designed short prompts and a focused entry flow that does not turn reflection into another task list.

  2. 02

Used streaks and gentle progress cues to support a routine without making the app feel competitive.

  3. 03

Built and released the iOS app with React Native and Expo.

The key decision

The key decision was restraint. Every extra screen or statistic risked getting in the way of the calm, repeatable habit the app was meant to support.

Under the hood

The app uses React Native and Expo, with a small interaction model built around daily entries, prompts, and streak state.

Outcome

Yeşer is available on the App Store as a focused journaling app that stays out of the way of the reflection itself.
