AI Fit Check

An image-based styling assistant that turns uploads into fast, opinionated outfit feedback.

React Native Expo AI Product Mobile UX

Executive Summary

A consumer-facing AI mobile app that turns photo uploads into fast style feedback, built to test how opinionated AI features behave inside a real user flow.

Role

Concept, app UX, integration, release workflow

Impact

Shows experimentation with AI features inside a real mobile product surface.

AI Fit Check

Platform

iOS

Shipped as a real App Store listing, not a prototype.

Product focus

AI feedback loop

Upload, response, and retention-oriented consumer flow.

Context & Problem Space

Many AI demos stop at the model call. This project focuses on the product layer: how an image-driven AI interaction should feel when it is packaged as an actual mobile experience for repeat use.

Reporting Workflow

  • Built the app in React Native and Expo with a consumer-oriented upload flow.
  • Structured the interface around fast feedback rather than long-form configuration.
  • Treated AI as a feature embedded inside a product loop instead of the whole product.

Article & Visual Analysis

AI Fit Check

AI Fit Check was built as a consumer mobile product, not as an isolated AI demo. The goal was to make image uploads, response handling, and the feedback tone feel native to a lightweight mobile experience.

Product framing

The app tests a simple thesis: users will engage more easily with AI if the interaction loop is short, opinionated, and clearly packaged. Instead of asking users to configure a system, the app centers a direct photo-to-feedback flow.

Why it matters

For portfolio purposes, the case study proves product execution around AI features. It is about turning an AI-assisted capability into a shipped interface with mobile constraints, visual judgment, and release discipline.
