Bohça

A Turkish çeyiz planning app for shared lists, budgets, item media, and partner coordination.

React Native Expo Supabase RevenueCat Mobile UX

Executive Summary

Bohça is a Turkish wedding-prep and çeyiz planning app built as a full consumer product: shared preparation spaces, item-level records, budget tracking, media attachments, subscription limits, and App Store delivery.

Role

Product design, React Native implementation, backend integration, release workflow

Impact

Shows a production consumer app with collaboration, data ownership, and subscription logic.

Bohça

Platform

iOS

Released as a real App Store product.

Product scope

Shared planning

Çeyiz lists, partner invite flow, item media, budgets, gifts, and exports.

Backend layer

Synced workspace

Built around authenticated shared data instead of device-only storage.

Context & Problem Space

Çeyiz preparation is both practical and emotional: families track hundreds of items, receipts, notes, gifts, and unfinished purchases across a long preparation period. Bohça turns that fragmented process into a structured mobile workspace that can be shared with a partner while still feeling warm and culturally specific.

Reporting Workflow

  • Built the app with React Native and Expo using a Turkish-first interface, portrait mobile flows, and App Store release constraints.
  • Modeled çeyiz items, categories, budgets, gifts, moving boxes, inspiration notes, and exported records as connected product surfaces.
  • Used Supabase-backed workspace data so a couple can coordinate around the same preparation area instead of maintaining separate lists.
  • Integrated subscription boundaries through Bohça Pro so advanced limits, media, exports, and extended planning surfaces can be treated as product packaging instead of ad hoc feature flags.

Article & Visual Analysis

Bohça

Bohça is a Turkish-first planning app for çeyiz preparation. It treats the work as more than a checklist: users need to organize rooms and categories, attach product context, watch spending, track gifts, and coordinate with the person they are building the list with.

Product framing

The app is built around a shared preparation space. Instead of keeping separate notes or spreadsheets, a couple can work inside one structured Bohça, with the core list, item details, budgets, gifts, moving boxes, and reminders connected through the same product model.

Why this belongs in the portfolio

Bohça shows mobile product ownership at the level that matters commercially: a culturally specific problem, real App Store delivery, account and workspace state, backend data contracts, subscription packaging, and Turkish UX copy that has to feel natural rather than translated.
